Rage Against The Machine - Renegades
With Zach's recent departure many thought it was over for Rage, but no, they continue to fight on with the release of covers album, Renegades. OK, this isn't strictly their work but they have added enough of their own unique sound and Morello's amazingly different guitar playing to make it sound like their own but have still kept it in line with the original. Stormers like Street Fighting Man and the classic Ghost of Tom Joad show this brilliantly. Their new single, Renegades of Funk, has even made some of my friends, who were stubborn Rage haters, admit that they like them. But the finest song on the album has to be MC5's Kick Out the Jams. This song is just fantastic, you just cant help but bang your head along with it. But in all this greatness, there is a down point: track no. 5, Beautiful World. The words slow ballad and Rage Against the Machine in the same sentence don't really go together so c'mon lads, stick to what your good at, hard pumpin' rock and catchy riffs. In conclusion this album is near perfection so buy it now, and i'd also like to say COME BACK ZACH!!!!
Renegades gets 9/10 and is out now.

Classic Review: Nirvana - Nevermind
Well, what can i say about this album that hasn't been said before? Not much, but i'll give it a go anyway. his album was Nirvana at their best. It is amazing. It is perfect. It is in my view one of the best albums of the '90s, possibly ever. It is the definitive Nirvana album. It is the one album you must own if you are only even remotely interested in Nirvana. The edgy rock anthems such as "Come As You Are", "Breed" and possibly one of the finest songs ever, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" compliment perfectly the slower, salightly wierder "ballads" like "Polly" and "Something In The Way". These songs will keep you hooked to this album as if it were some sort of musical drug. You can't get much better than this. At all. Ever. Full stop. In short, all i can say is BUY IT, BUT IT NOW!!!!
Nirvana - Nevermind gets 10/10 and is out now.
